About the Book
Every year, Joey the Elf comes to visit Ethan, Bella, and Noah for Christmas. During the day he quietly watches their Christmas activities, but at night he has all kinds of adventures! The kids love to wake up and see what Joey has been up to, and what he’s left for them. But one day, Joey disappears. He lets the kids know he’ll be back soon, but what if he doesn’t come home in time for Christmas? What will the kids do then?
The Adventures of Joey: A Month With Joey is the first book in a series about Joey the Elf. The books teach kids important lessons about listening to their parents, behaving all year long, and paying attention to the rules. They’re also full of fun and silly ideas about what elves get up to at night, and the fun notes they write. Kids will love getting to know Joey and having all kinds of Christmas fun!
Souraya Zreik
S. Zreik is an author, millwright, truck driver, and dispatcher for the Carpenters’ Union. She’s also a single mom to three young kids … and one mischievous elf! She was inspired to write about Joey after the elf shared his adventures with her own kids. Zreik is the oldest of six children, and helped raised her siblings with her mom. She loves to travel, read, cook, paint, and solve word problems. Zreik has lived in Canada for over 30 years and resides in Halifax, Nova Scotia.
